Terms & Conditions

These terms outline how BGE Landscapes manages quotations, construction, payment and changes to agreed works. The specific terms applying to each project will be confirmed in the quotation or contract provided for that project.

Quotations & Scope

All works are undertaken against an agreed scope and quotation. Quotations are based on the information available at the time and will identify the works, materials and services included.

Where appropriate, an initial fee indication or Rough Order Cost Estimate may be provided before the final construction scope and price are confirmed.

Site Investigation

A detailed site investigation may be required before construction begins. This can include site measurements, assessment of existing conditions, photographs, material requirements and other information needed to properly price and plan the work.

Design & Approval

Where design forms part of the project, the concept and scope will be developed with the client and may be revised or staged to suit the project requirements and available budget.

Construction will commence once the relevant design, scope and construction price have been approved and any required statutory requirements or approvals have been satisfied.

Changes & Variations

Changes to the agreed scope or design may be required during a project. Any significant change that affects the work, materials, programme or cost will be discussed with the client before proceeding.

Payment

Projects valued at less than $10,000 are payable on completion unless otherwise agreed.

For larger projects, payment will be made progressively in stages as agreed in the quotation or contract.

Subcontractors

BGE Landscapes may engage suitably qualified and experienced subcontractors where specialist skills, equipment or additional resources are required. BGE remains responsible for coordinating these works as part of the project.

Project Delivery

BGE provides appropriately skilled personnel and project supervision to deliver the agreed works. Depending on the project, this may include landscape construction, excavation, drainage, retaining walls, concrete, paving, rock work, carpentry, arboriculture, horticulture, irrigation, turf, renovation and associated site works.

Site Conditions

Quotations are based on the site conditions and information reasonably available when the work is priced. Where unforeseen conditions or requirements are identified that materially affect the work, these will be discussed with the client before additional work is undertaken.

Quality & Completion

BGE manages the work through to completion and undertakes appropriate quality checks during construction. Any agreed defects or outstanding items will be addressed as part of the completion process.
