If you are considering enhancing your home environment, the process is as follows:
1. Home garden design checklist and initial meeting A Home Garden Design Checklist will be sent to you prior to the LandscapeWorks designer meeting you onsite. This checklist assists us to capture your priorities, practicalities and aesthetic aspirations for your garden. It also improves efficiency therefore minimising costs for you. 2. Confirmation of scope of services Following your initial meeting with the landscape designer you will receive a letter outlining the understanding of works and a fee indication. 3. Detailed site investigation Following acceptance of the fee indication a detailed site investigation will be carried out including site measure up, photo inventory and sourcing of any house plans. |
4. Concept Plans and Rough Order Cost Estimates
A colour concept plan (and cross-sections if required) noting indicative hard landscaping materials and plant species (soft landscaping) will be prepared and presented for your feedback. Each component of the hard and soft landscaping is scheduled and a Rough Order Cost Estimate is prepared. The concept plan can be revised and/or staged in line with your feedback, priorities and available budget. Once you have approved the final concept plan the landscape designer will confirm the construction sum. 5. Construction detail plans and consents (if required) If a Building Consent, Resource Consent and/or input by a Certified Engineer is required the landscape designer will arrange for and produce the necessary construction detail plans and applications to satisfy statutory requirements. |
6. Construction
Once you have approved the concept, construction sum and satisfied statutory requirements (if required) then Brett Garea Environments will start to bring the concept to life. The construction phase can be disruptive, testing and time-consuming, but we do our utmost to minimise the impact on you. The landscape designer can be engaged to remain your point of contact through this phase and assist with any queries or variations to the concept that may arise to ensure your satisfaction throughout the course of the project. Construction can involve any or all of the following:
